Welcome to Samta Meditation and Research Institute Monastery
☸️ Welcome to a place of peace, simplicity, and self-discovery ☸️
At our monastery, we follow the timeless path of Anapana and Vipassana meditation, exactly as taught by our respected teacher Sayagyi S.N. Goenka, in the tradition of U Ba Khin. Our practice is firmly grounded in the buddha's original teaching — a path that is universal, non-sectarian, and free from rituals or blind belief.
This center is not bound by any sect, caste, or religion. It is a space where any sincere seeker — whether monk or layperson, man or woman, young or old — can come and cultivate noble silence, awareness, and equanimity through direct observation of reality within.
We offer Anapana meditation to newcomers, gently guiding them to begin their inner journey. For dedicated practitioners, the center supports deep, long-term silent retreats in an environment of discipline and compassion. There are no distractions here — only the opportunity to work on purifying the mind.
Our aspiration is simple:
That all beings who come here may find inner peace, develop wisdom, and live a life of harmony with themselves and others.
Let us walk this path of Dhamma together — with courage, humility, and clarity.
Bhavatu Sabba Mangalaṁ.
May all beings be happy.
Our Core Vision
To cultivate a strong and compassionate Bhikkhu and Bhikkhuni Sangha, dedicated to the practice, preservation, and global spread of the Dhamma in this Second Sasana, fostering peace, wisdom, and liberation for all beings.
